Our Office

Unity Copenhagen is centrally located in Denmark’s buzzing capital, adjacent to one of the city’s famous shopping streets. Formerly a post office and bank, our office space preserves the building’s 1700s architecture and combines it with Scandinavian simplicity to create a modern yet down-to-Earth workspace for all.

Who we are:

Home to Unity’s founders, Unity Copenhagen has grown to over 300 employees on a variety of teams. Some of our largest groups include R&D, Internal Productions, Web Development, Marketing, Demo Content, IT, UX, Finance, Recruiting, and HR.

With our ever-growing teams, comes many cool perks! Our exciting office space features countless snacks and drinks, game rooms, breakfast buffet and juice bar, subsidized lunch and take away dinner as well as bike storage and shower facilities.

What do we do for fun?

From meditation & yoga to gin & wine tasting, Unity Copenhagen offers social opportunities for our employees on a weekly basis.

During the week, it’s common to find our employees playing VR games, foosball, and billiards in our rec space, which we like to call “the Cave”. On Fridays, many like to wind down the week with a craft beer in our lounge, listening to the electric beats of our very own DJ.

In addition to hosting a variety of social events, such as board game & game dev nights and company celebrations, our Workplace Experience team organizes fun annual traditions! These include the DHL relay race, summer BBQs, holiday festivities, and International Women’s Day talks.

Our City

What to see

A charming city filled with culture, Scandi-chic, and bucketfuls of Carlsberg, Denmark’s capital is as vibrant as they come. The buzzing capital mixes royal history and modern architecture with sustainable living and a booming restaurant scene. Get ready to experience the true meaning of Danish ‘Hygge’!

Here’s a list of some popular spots nearby:

Where to eat

The restaurant scene in Copenhagen has really taken off in recent years, from New Nordic cuisine to the humble burger. While we can’t hook you up with a reservation to Noma, there are plenty of choices.

You can certainly Visit Copenhagen’s restaurant guides for some ideas, but here are some of our employee favorites.

  • Aamanns Deli & Takeaway: Traditional Scandinavian open-faced sandwich, otherwise known as ‘smørrebrød ‘ (don’t forget the schnapps!)
  • Gasoline Grill: Recently named as one of the best burger joints in the world, we can’t recommend Gasoline Grill enough. There’s no indoor seating so it’s more of a grab and go option and they sell out fast, but definitely not one to be missed!
  • Juno Bakery: Artisanal bakery that usually has a line of people waiting for their amazing pastries, but they have hands-down, the best cardamom buns!
  • Souls: Voted best Vegan restaurant in Copenhagen 2018, Souls specializes in classic comfort food and killer cocktails
  • Torvehallerne: From tacos and pastries to sushi and gourmet porridge, this urban, covered marketplace serves a variety of local produce, gourmet foods & delicious beverages

Where to drink

  • La Glace: The oldest and probably best confectionery in Denmark, they serve old-fashioned coffee, tea, and real chocolate is always served in a pot ready to be refilled. It is a fine tradition that does not exist any longer elsewhere in Copenhagen.
  • Coffee Collective: This micro-roastery has a great coffee selection and multiple locations
  • Tak for Kaffee: A cosy coffee shop located a few steps from the office, serving coffee, chai, tea, smoothies, and juices
  • Taste of Taiwan: Located right across from the building’s entrance, this café serves delicious bubble teas with their very own black and white “Panda boba”
  • Joe and the Juice: With many locations to choose from around the office, this healthy chain serves a wide variety of juices, veggie shots, smoothies, coffee and tea
